with experts from the Morehead Planetarium
📅 February 6 | 6:30–8:30 PM

Join us for a magical winter evening under the stars at Honeysuckle Farm, guided by the expert astronomers and educators of the Morehead Planetarium. This special stargazing experience blends science, wonder, and the quiet beauty of the farm after dark — perfect for couples, families, and curious minds of all ages.

Rain or shine, the evening goes on.
If skies are clear, winter is one of the best seasons for stargazing, offering crisp air and excellent visibility of planets, bright stars, and iconic winter constellations. Morehead Planetarium experts will guide guests through the night sky, helping identify celestial objects and sharing stories and science behind what we see above us.

If weather conditions don’t allow for outdoor viewing, guests will enjoy an engaging indoor experience instead. Morehead Planetarium staff will host interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions, bringing the universe closer through hands-on learning and expert insight — ensuring a memorable evening regardless of conditions.

Honeysuckle Farm offers covered and heated areas, so guests can comfortably move between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the evening. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic or dinner, and beverages and light snacks will be available for purchase on-site.

Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or simply curious about the night sky, this experience offers a relaxed, welcoming way to explore the wonders of the universe together.
